Personal Consumer Issues • Downside of canceling US Health Insurance while living Abroad for a few months?

Currently, we're away from the US and won't be coming back till early next year. I'm thinking if it's a prudent decision to stop our US Health Insurance plan for now and re-enroll at the end of the open enrollment period. We don't qualify for any ACA subsidies and pay the premiums out of pocket.

The odds of us needing to visit the US meanwhile are extremely low and even if we need to, we can re-enroll during the ACA open enrollment from Nov-Jan. The only downside I can think of is our health care provider (Kaiser) might be unable to assign the same doctors again next year. Any further thoughts?
