Personal Investments • Quantifiable criteria to “Need, Ability, and Willingness”

I can’t figure out what my asset allocation (AA) should be.
Is there a set of quantifiable metrics that one can use for evaluating need, ability, and willingness?
No.

Unless you can quanitify your emotions, emotional factors outweigh all others when arriving at an asset allocation. Over time, you will learn how you deal with volatility. And to make matters even more interesting, how you deal with volatility will change over time, as you come nearer the point at which your human capital (ability to add money to "buy low") is no longer possible and the primary goal becomes asset preservation rather than accumulation.
To your point, after my analytics were done, the behavioral matters dominated the “risk” discussion between my wife and me.
