if you have a LogIn.gov account that you are using for EFTPS and have been logging in to My Social Security with a user name and password, do you click the LogIn.org tab when you log into My Social Security and use your LogIn.org password? if so, how does SSA link the 2 accounts? Thanks.
Not exactly the same situation but, I had an existing Login.gov account (used for Global Entry). I logged into Login.gov, then in another browser window, logged into SSA.gov with my user name/password. When prompted about the discontinuation of the user name/password login and asked about setting up a Login.gov account, I clicked on that option and it automatically linked the two accounts instead of prompting me to create a new Login.gov account (I assume because I was already logged in to my Login.gov account). This entire process took a few seconds. Now I just use my Login.gov login for SSA.gov.
