Personal Consumer Issues • Old gas mix with new?

I think its maybe a year or year and a half at most? I have a thing of Techron that i was planning to pour in before or after I change the oil so not sure if that would be of any benefit?

In terms of storage I’ve kept it outside most of the time so there is a good chance there was condensation that built up on the inside of the tank but I’m not 100% certain
Techron is fuel system cleaner intended to prevent and remove deposits. I don't think it will do anything for old gas.

A fuel storage stabilizer (eg - Sta-bil), on the other hand, usually includes an ingredient to disperse water which otherwise would settle out and cause issues. They also contain ingredients that are supposed to reduce oxidation of the fuel that can contribute to forming gummy residues. The latter will not help now, but the water dispersing ingredient should.

If in doubt, I would try a minority mix of old to new (like 1:3), and if not using it all right away, I might go ahead and add fuel-stabilizer.
