I think I answered my own question, in my portfolio there is no other place other than Taxable to hold VXUS,
Our Tax deferred at 22% is all BND + CDs & there is no place for VXUS, unless I exchange & hold tax inefficient BNDs + CDs in the Taxable, or I increase stock % from my already stock heavy present 78/22 in retirement.
Thank you all, I appreciate your replies, but I decide to stay put the way things are now, the present high dividends of VXUS do come handy for cash flow in retirement & the cap gain of $300k will be an unwanted tax expense.
I just hope VXUS starts showing some gains.
