But what's more significant to me, psychologically, is finally matching and beating my previous weekend balance high of November 6, 2021. Time spent significantly below the prior peak has seemed to drag on forever. And that's only been 2 years and 4 months! Human perception of time is a curious thing...
What's also interesting is that, excluding a significant stable value-turned-money market position, the only position (of nine others) with a meaningful gain during the long portfolio dip is the total US market index fund. The total bond market did about as poorly as emerging markets. Real estate performed poorly in general, but international real estate lost nearly a quarter of its value over the two years, four months.
