I agree with this, except there is one thing I do not like about Venmo. As a background, I use Venmo to give money to the younger folks who prefer it to Zelle. The last time I used it was some gifts for family friends.Venmo and Paypal are well documented, have a consistent interface for all users, and they simply work, reliably. I cannot say the same for Zelle.
When I set up a new recipient in Zelle, it uses the recipients KYC information, so it will say "John Bogle"
When I connect to a new user Venmo, at least in my experience, it uses their "social media style" info, so instead of John Bogle it could say "admiralnelsonfan1929" with a cartoon picture of a ship. So it is not helpful to confirm that you are connecting to the right person. Stated differently, my finger is much more shaky clicking send in Venmo than in Zelle.
