Personal Consumer Issues • Ceiling fan Qs

Having replaced 2 fans installed by the builder, I only have this to say: https://bigassfans.com/
And no whining about the price.
Probably great fans. I live in SoCal and it would be hard to justify the cost of these in my book. A lot of high quality 60"+ fans have a $450-$1k price point.

I am actually looking to replace 3-4 right now in my house. Modern Forms, Fanimation, Minka Aire, Hunter come to mind.
They are fantastic. We have one in our living room with 18 foot ceilings. No wobble at any speed. Turns on and off based on temperature/motion sensing. But I wouldn't put any fan in a room with 8 foot ceilings. I would think about trying to create cross breezes with window fans blowing in from one side of the house and blowing out on another side of the house.
I only have 9ft ceilings. Rooms max out at 14x18 and 14x15. 60" is about as big as I should get.

I have had good experiences with Fanimation and Minka-Aire. My fans run 24x7 nearly year round. My 2 Fanimation Xenos are starting to make motor noises after 8 years.
