Does anyone know if you can combine two separate IRAs (mine and my spouse's) to qualify for platinum honors when we already have a joint checking with BofA? I realize we can't combine the IRAs themselves but can you house them both under Merrill Edge to qualify?

Pretty sure the answer is no.
Preferred Rewards status is linked via SSN, so accounts without your SSN will not qualify.
A single joint account with enough assets would qualify both holders for their individual separate accounts, though.
