Update:

I got VTSAX converted to VTI at Vanguard, but the cost basis method did not get transferred. It went from Spec ID to FIFO. Do I manually change it back to Spec ID in VTI or will it get changed automatically in few days?

Does the cost basis method have any consequence on moving VTI from Vanguard to Fidelity?
