Personal Consumer Issues • Best way to replace windshield with OEM glass?

Howdy gang,

Today my windshield was the victim of senseless violence by some seriously disturbed gravel. Regrettably the windshield did not survive. The specialists agreed that heroic measures would be futile. Rest in Pieces. Having completed all grieving stages in the time it takes to post this, I am now ready to move on.

I want to replace with the best glass possible, identical to what the car came with. I realize this may bump the price a bit and that's fine with me. What's the best way to accomplish this? In case it's important, this is a 2019 Jeep Cherokee with lane departure warning, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control, etc. In other words, it has a bunch of windshield-interfacing gizmos.

I should probably emphasize a couple of facts:

1. This will be out of pocket. My insurance deductible is a high one.
2. This is a big crack, about 10 inches long, and not repairable.

Should I call Safe-Lite, or call the dealer, or get the part from the dealer and take it to someone for installation, or (insert idea here)?

Thanks!
