Personal Investments • Vanguard's Required Transition to "New" Hybrid Platform

Hi, first thanks for the expertise here. I know there have been other threads on Vanguard's recent move to convert Mutual Fund holders into ETF's in preparation for their required move to Vanguard's "new" hybrid platform (and avoid increased fees).

Is VG pushing folks to convert from mutual funds to ETFs? I know they are pushing hard to get you to move from the mutual fund platform to the brokerage platform. However, the brokerage platform can handle mutual funds.

Also, I assume you must move to the brokerage platform before you convert your mutual funds to ETFs.

Note: I don’t consider slightly higher ERs for mutual funds to be “pushing”.
