If “Money Lockdown” is enabled, can dividends still be directed to another account (e.g. the CMA account, or external checking)?
Dividends and CG can only go to fund or core account. I don’t believe you can divert to other accounts.
Can recurring transfers of earnings (dividends and cap gains) not be used when lockdown is enabled?
Yes, they can. But like any other transfer, you have to disable lockdown to do the initial setup. Here's the steps
  • Disable Lock Down
  • Setup the Reoccurring Transfer
  • Re-enable Lock Down
The whole process is like 5 minutes, at most. I have this setup on several of my Fidelity accounts to move all dividends and interest from my various brokerage (taxable) accounts daily to a single account, where I have my paycheck deposited, etc.
Question -

When you enable the daily feature of dividends, does it transfer over immediately?

That is, as soon as it becomes cash is it now transferred over to the separate account? I like the idea of this feature because it makes it more obvious to me when dividends hit my account, but worry about being out of the market for a day and not invested if I always just wait to see the bigger account balance.
